Self portrait

I took a pose from an old japanese print and inserted my own head and elements. Going for some humor here. I hope someone finds it funny!

Here is the front/back cover for a book that will hopefully be given out at the baltimore comic-con (if the printer doesnt screw it up). The japanese Text is a font, i dont know if it says what i want it to say, but it looks cool so whatever. Hopefully it says monster.Hahaha

Kitsune

I couldn't find the texless version of this, so up it goes with text!

more japanese folklore monsters

Here is my layout for the Kappa. These guys can be nasty, what wth their sucking out your organs through the anus and all. They have water in their heads, and if it all spills out they get weakened, so practice bowing in case you meet one!

more comic pages!

Page three of the new comic I'm working on. The aliens have been spotted, who are these mysterious shadowy figures? WHO? WHOOOOO? Also that car took forever and a half to draw. Why are cars so hard to draw, hmmmm?

Page two of the new comic im working on, using a little drybrush here. Some of the panels need some touching up, as does my text and bubble work. I am happy with the characters though!

New comic page one

Here is the first page of a new comic i am working on. Trying to ink more with a brush, alot of this page was doe with a bamboo brush. This mysterious craft is headed for earth! What ill omens does it bring? Whom does it carry inside? Color and text soon to come.

Tanuki

Tanuki are racoon-dogs featured in japanese folklore as mischieveious little creatures, with enlarged testicles. (this is true or REAL Tanuki as well, though maybe not as exaggerated in the folk tales, or in my drawings).

I wanted to capture their funloving.troublemaking nature here. Hope I succeeded!
